Tomorrow is "National Don't Criticize, Condemn or Complain Day for Photographers"

I am officially declaring tomorrow "National Don't Criticize, Condemn or Complain Day for Photographers."

Hey, that is not my original saying. It's Dale Carnegie's, who wrote the book, literally, How to Win Friends and Influence People.

I came up with the concept because I see lots of negativity on the web - photographers criticizing, condemning and complaining about photographs and photographers. Some pros, who have given themselves fancy titles, pontificate so much as an "authority" that it actually makes me smile.

I, myself, could criticize individual complainers, folks who we used to call in the 60s "neg heads," but why create negative energy? Why waste time?

Of course, my mother's saying comes into play here, "If you can't say something nice . . . . " You've heard that one a million times.

But you may not have heard this one: "If you have the chance to be right or kind, be kind."
