Invest 10 Bucks in Your Business

My latest iPhone & iPad app (my 10th app)  – Social Media Marketing for Photographers – is now available, for the iPad and iPhone, on iTunes.

The app is designed for business-minded photographers who want to grow their business.

Invest $9.99 and 60 minutes in this app and you’ll see why you absolutely must “social or succumb” in the competitive world of professional photography. Actually, the info here applies to all creatives, so you may want to pass this info along to your creative friends.

This app is my narrated Keynote presentation on the business side of photography. It is divided into five easy-to-follow parts plus an introduction. Each part is a QuickTime movie, so you can start, stop, go back and fast forward at your own pace.

I could have called the app, The Business Side of Photography, because I talk about many different aspects of the photography business.

Almost 200 slides are in my presentation. Just a few are shown below.

If you don't have an iPad, we can send you a DVD for $19.99. Send PayPal payment to: ricksammon@mac.com. Be sure to include your real name and shipping address.

Table of Contents:

Introduction – It’s a Business. Social media is media.

Part I - Building a Social Media Strategy. Key ingredients for being successful with social media.

Part II – Free Marketing Tools. Why you need more than one tool in your social media toolbox.

Part III – Socializing. Why should people listen to you?

Part IV  – Be Yourself. Honesty is the best policy.

Part V – Rick’s Philosophies. It’s up to you to be successful.

Keith Kolmos, who developed my two wallpaper apps – Rick’s Big Cats and Rick’s Flying Flowers – developed this app. Thank you Keith for making it happen.

Good luck,
Rick

P.S. If someone can find me an Android developer who can test my apps on all the difference phones - and update and test, test, test at no charge when new phones are developed - I'd be thrilled to make my 10 apps available for Android. I have been looking for an Android app developer for 4 years with no luck.

Hi Rick I just want to say that I have been following you since I joined kelbytraining.com and I have got to say your apps are a slam dunk, they are right on the money well developed and thoroughly enjoyable. Like you I use Canon and I love what you do keep bringing us awwesome apps and I will keep buying them.. The only think I wish you would do is come and visit us in New Zealand and I'll show u some of the most awesome places to take photos in the world.

With all due respect Rick, why should an Android developer "update and test, test, test" your app for free? Isn't that sort of like asking a photographer to "just come to my wedding and take some shots and give me some prints" for free? I'm really not trying to be disrespectful here. I'm just saying that Android developers are professionals who deserve to be compensated for their work just as photographers do. Again, I am truly not trying to be argumentative or disrespectful, I am just posing a question and trying to present a different point of view. BTW, I really enjoy seeing your work on Google+.

Chris Sellers - Thanks for your comment. I have been looking for an Android app developer for 4 years with no luck.

My deal with my app developers is so fair that updates are part of our original deal.

Thank you again,
Rick

Rick - My apologizes, I misunderstood your earlier post to mean that you that you were looking for an Android developer who would port your app to Android for free.

Regards, Cris

It's one of the best suggested in starting small business nowadays, franchising. You could see a lot of this around open area concert grounds, football and baseball events or even parks and picnic ares.

They could also do a custom pocket folders printing business. In this industry you don't really need to start up with a big amount of capital. The safest way to create a business, I think.

Social Media marketing is one of the rising online business now. There are instances that companies might experience catalogue debt that's why they need agents who could resolve issues like this.

Have you ever published that on the net? it would be really interesting if we could share our thought about business ideas. I've been to a lot of business coaching UK and almost every one of it tells me that having someone whom you can talk about business is better than reading all by the book.
