Reality Leaves a Lot to the Imagination

Reality leaves a lot to the imagination - John Lennon

I took this shot today at Bear Mountain State Park, which is not too far from my home in Croton-on-Hudson, NY.

John Lennon was singing on the radio during the drive over to the park, and I was thinking about his quote . . .

When it comes to a photograph, when you remove the true color, sharpness and detail, you remove some of the reality. And, my friends, when you remove some of the reality, your pictures can become more creative and artistic.

I used the Polaroid Transfer filter in Nik Software's Color Efex Pro to remove some of the reality from the image below - which was a nice enough super sharp shot taken with my Canon Power Shot Elph 310 HS.
