Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 7D DVD Coming Soon. No Bull!

Juan Pons and I are at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center in Glen Rose, Texas shooting some videos for our upcoming Wiley Publishing DVD on how to shoot HD videos with the Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 7D cameras. We are getting lots of cool footage. No bull!

If you have a topic you'd like us to cover (lighting, exposure, sound, accessories, camera functions, etc.) let us know.

The DVD will be available early next year.

I would love to see you cover live event situations like a concert shooting in a small club or a reception for someone in a small but dark environment where a strong light cannot be used because it would be distracting .. I know .. I am asking for the impossible, but ...

Seeing that Longhorn steer, I feel I have a steak in your work.

Sound has been the big problem. I know Juan has covered it in a recent video. What wireless mics do you use, if any? Is the MKE400 the best mic? (Sennheiser) I gather Juiced Link is better than Beachtech, and I either HAVE to use one of those or record sound separately, but then I have to link it up. All this takes enormous setup time. Is there some quick and simple audio solution? Probably not.

I agree with Anonymous, I shoot events and will be using AV or TV modes depending on what is going on. But if I want to switch from still to Video I am at a loss as to what settings are best to use and generally shoot my video in Program mode.

So I'd love some instruction on what settings are best for the concert, reception or outdoors event.

I really like to learn more in photography and video making. I'm looking forward for the DVD release. I hope I can learn a lot of things.
