One of my favorite t-shirts shows a guitar and has this phrase printed on it: If it's too loud, you're too old. That got me thinking. Some photographers only like straight shots; they are against digital enhancements, most recently when it comes to HDR images, such as the one pictured here.
So I thought we need a photo expression along the lines of my t-shirt. However, I can't come up with one. If you have any ideas, fill in the blank and post your suggestion here.
If it's too _________, you're too old.
Thank you for playing along.

"Dramatic" is the first word that came to my mind since that's what enhancements like HDR do to an image. However, since colors speak to us too, loud might even work for this saying. Have fun! :)
'processed' is the first word that came to mind for me.
How about "vibrant?" It seems to me HDR pictures have a vibrance about them that might qualify as loud.
The only word I can see there is photoshopped. If it's to photoshopped you're to old. Simple, but true.
How about "Gaudy"? And, no I don't think it is.
I just like it with the blank...
If it's too Bold, you're too old! :)
I would say:
If it's too much photo, you're to old.
I love to see a good HDR image!
How about DIGITAL?
Hah! Beat you to 60! Try it, you'll like it!
Bob
How about: "REAL", If it's too real, your too old"
HDR enhances realism!
Thanks,
Iain
If it's too tonal, you're too old!
Dynamic
Saturated.
If it's to WOW, you are too old.
I with Gary on leaving it blank.
I say...
If it's too "shopped", you're too old
Dodge and burn and filter pack in the darkroom, Photoshop filters and HDR in the digital darkroom. It's all the same. Express your inner joy through photography.
shopped for sure
If it's too True your too old
"different"?
